How to Exclude Products from Feedback Requests

You might wish to exclude specific products, such as samples, from receiving reviews. To achieve this, follow these steps in your Shopify admin panel:

  1. Click 'Products > Collections.'
  2. Click the 'Add collection' button.
  3. Set the title of the new collection to "feefo_exclude."
  4. Untick all options under the 'Visibility' section.
  5. Under 'Select products,' choose 'Manually select products.'
  6. Click 'Save collection.'
  7. Search for the products you want to exclude from feedback requests in the 'Products' box of your new collection.

How to Add a Category Tag to Your Data

Shopify collections not only help with product exclusions but also allow you to group products and assign tags that carry through to Feefo for enhanced product tracking. For example, you can group seasonal products, items on sale, or products of specific types, colors, or sizes. Feefo uses the collection's name as the category tag in the uploaded sales data. So, if a collection is named 'Menswear,' a purchase within that collection will have the category tag 'Menswear' applied, such as 'category:Menswear.'

For more customised tag keys, use Shopify manual collections. These enable you to use the format 'key:value' in collection names, allowing for more than just category tags, like 'clothing:shirts.' Please be aware that custom tags cannot be used with Shopify automatic collections.


How to Uninstall the Shopify Plugin

To uninstall the plugin, manually remove the three lines of code from your site code. Follow these steps if the code was added in our recommended location:

From the Shopify admin panel, click 'Online store and themes.'

Click '…', followed by 'Edit HTML/CSS.'
